My Kid Is An Overcomer

MKIAO

Our journey as a family, raising a child with autism, began in 2017 when our world was forever changed. In that pivotal year, Kinsley received her autism diagnosis, and it marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Tubbs family. Our path was not always smooth; it was filled with sleepless nights, moments of uncertainty, and a sense of navigating uncharted territory.

Kinsley, our precious princess, was just three years old when we learned about her diagnosis. Despite the challenges that lay ahead, we were motivated by a deep desire to see the best in her and to help her thrive in every possible way. She faced and overcame numerous obstacles, proving to us that her potential far exceeded any label or diagnosis. This realization was the driving force behind the creation of MKIAO – My Kid Is An Overcomer.

Our mission became crystal clear: we wanted to make a positive impact on the lives of children all around the world who were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. We were dedicated to providing unwavering support not only to the children themselves but also to their parents, caregivers, and families. We aimed to create a safe haven, a place where families could come to find resources, tips, tools, and most importantly, empowerment.

As we embarked on this journey together, our hope was that others would also find solace in the word of God. We believed that faith could serve as a wellspring of strength during the most challenging times. We wanted to be a source of encouragement, a guiding light when days felt long and lonely, and a beacon of joy when spirits needed lifting. MKIAO, our initiative, symbolized the hope for victories to be celebrated and the determination to thrive against all odds.

In the midst of adversity, Kinsley's resilience continued to shine brightly. Her laughter and determination reminded us that she was so much more than her diagnosis – she was an Overcomer in every sense of the word. This realization fueled our commitment even further.

Our journey was one of unity and shared experiences. We wanted families to recognize that they were not alone in their struggles. MKIAO became a place of refuge, a space where parents, caregivers, and families could come together to share their stories, provide insights, and uplift each other. It was a platform where the victories – no matter how small – were celebrated with the utmost joy and enthusiasm.

As we pressed forward, fueled by our love for Kinsley and our unyielding belief in her potential, our commitment to making a positive impact grew stronger. MKIAO was not just an organization; it was a living testament to the power of unity, resilience, and hope. Our family, alongside countless others, is on a mission to empower, inspire, and spread the message that every child, regardless of their challenges, is an Overcomer. And with MKIAO as our guiding star, we continued to walk this extraordinary journey, one step at a time.
